Bali Bound

After a long runaround with my Australian bank ending with me in the exact same situation I was in before, no ATM access to my money, I have finally started to move around a bit agian. After traveling down the Sunshine and Gold coast I have stopped in Byron Bay for a few nights before heading back up to Brisbane and then on to Bali. I finally have my room sorted out there for a little while and I'm excited to get there and surf a bit, although I'm a little anxious about driving a moped on a crowded asian street.

Kondalilla Falls

On Phil's last day before he headed to Cambodia to play with seahorses and teach locals about taking care of their coral reefs Cavey and I planned a little trip out of town to a nearby waterfall and swimming spot. We hiked through a rain forest swung off a rope swing Cavey saved a little girl from falling onto the rocks Phil got rope burn and Mark almost stepped on a Brown snake (and not the boneless kind). We then capped it off with some fine gelato. Thanks to Cavey for driving and Phil Mark Haylie and Laura for tagging along.

Sunrise Hike

This post is a little delayed, but the other day some friends and I carted ourselves out of bed at 430 in the morning for a hike out to Hell's Gates at the end of the Noosa Headland. A 35 minute walk a few stubbed toes and one nearly naked man running in a purple banana hammock later we were treated to an awesome sight.

Noosa Heads

I remember loving this place from a family trip in 2000 and for good reason. I've had some amazing times, met some amazing people and caught some great waves. The other day surfing with Cavey Mark and Phil at Boiling Pot the swell turned on for a few hours and we were owning that place. I got 4 stand up barrels in a row. Only came out of two, but was just hooting my head off all day.

Sunrise Beach

I stayed for a few nights in a small town in a small hostel. The place was quiet and peaceful, but I needed a little more action so I headed up the road to Noosa Heads.

Australian adventure

Australia has beed a blast so far. Great people, great waves, and a lot of paradise. My days have essentially consisted of waking up at sunrise, surfing for a few hours, eating mussli and yogurt, back to the surf, nap on the beach, reading a book, afternoon surf, dinner, beer, late night beach with a box of goon (bagged wine for those not elightened) sleep and repeat.

Photo posts are coming soon!!!
